The basic key to understanding Infrared photography is to realize that it is Not natural color. IR photography involves using a camera that creates an image by using a totally different spectrum of light than natural color images. Trees, grass, and leaves turn white. People tend to lose any lines or wrinkles and their skin becomes pale and smooth.
